Paige Rothermel and Family

Paige Rothermel was first drawn to SARRC after relocating to Phoenix and seeking to align with an organization making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families.

As an executive leader with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, giving back to the community was a priority. An introduction by a colleague led Paige to visit SARRC including a campus tour, that quickly confirmed this organization was the right fit. During her tour, she experienced SARRC’s inclusive preschool, the Community School, and saw children with and without autism learning side by side — making the decision to get and stay involved an easy one.

Her connection deepened when her daughter, then a sophomore psychology student at Arizona State University, spent a summer volunteering at SARRC’s Community School. Each day, she returned home inspired by her experiences with the children, families, and staff. Her reflections spoke volumes, leaving them deeply proud—not only of her but also of their connection to an organization truly changing lives.

“Not only was I proud of my daughter, but proud that I was aligned with an organization that was changing the trajectory of children’s lives,” Paige says. “That was my original goal getting involved with SARRC and I continue to be impressed by the work the entire team does on a daily basis.”

As an MVP, Paige feels a strong commitment to making a multi-year gift that helps sustain SARRC’s mission and fuel its growth across Arizona.

“As SARRC expands across the state, reaching more children and families, I will continue to support their efforts. I am confident that our state is, and will continue to be, a leader in autism care because of Danny and his leadership team,” Paige says.

Today, hearing mission moments and firsthand stories continues to reinforce the importance of SARRC’s work. Each story reflects the meaningful impact SARRC has on families and the strength of its evidence-based approach to care. With a deep belief in research-backed services and access to accurate information, the Rothermel family remains committed to supporting SARRC.
