SARRC offers insurance benefit verifications through our Provider Support Services. A review of insurance can be completed for anyone considering SARRC services and we will be happy to share if the services are a covered benefit under your health plan. Additionally, one of our Provider Support Specialists will be happy to talk with you and answer any questions you might have regarding your benefits and how they might apply to SARRC services.
Understanding ABA & Insurance
Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based treatment for individuals with an autism diagnosis. Most health insurance plans now include coverage for ABA services.
What Insurance Might Cover
Insurance plans, including commercial and state plans, will often cover:
- ABA assessments
- ABA treatment planning
- ABA services
Coverage will depend on your insurance company, individual plan, and whether SARRC is in-network with your plan.
Will There Be a Cost to You?
Even when insurance covers ABA therapy:
- Co-pays, co-insurance and deductibles may still apply
- Some plans may have limits on hours or dollar amounts each year
- “Out-of-network” plans may have higher cost than “in-network”
Insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs are determined by the member’s health plan. Clients and families are responsible for understanding their insurance benefits, including deductibles, co-insurance, and co-payments.
