The Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) Speaker Series features “A Discussion on Suicide Awareness, Education & Prevention Among Autistic Individuals.” In the three-part series, attendees will hear from prominent speakers specializing in crisis support and suicide prevention for autistic people. We invite community members and encourage behavior therapists, educators, and mental health professionals to attend these free, educational presentations.

Crisis Support and Suicide Prevention for Autistic People:

Autistic people think, communicate, and experience the world differently. Understanding how autistic people can experience suicidality is imperative in providing effective support. Using the latest research findings and autism-specific resources, this presentation provides practical knowledge and insight into identifying and supporting autistic people experiencing a crisis in ways they can understand and embrace.
