Alana and James Langdon

Alana and James Langdon’s connection with SARRC began over a decade ago when their son, Haden, was referred to SARRC by their pediatrician for a developmental screening.

“As a family living with autism for over a decade, we’re committed to ensuring Haden has every opportunity to live a fulfilling life by celebrating his gifts, nurturing his talents, and appreciating the way he engages with the world around him,” Alana says.

Inspired by their experiences, the Langdons have become more involved with SARRC to help increase awareness and access for more families in Arizona. Recently, Alana and James joined SARRC’s Multiyear Visionary Partner (MVP) giving program, recognizing the difference SARRC makes in the community.

“We have a deep commitment to helping others and building a supportive community for families and individuals living with autism knowing that this can be a daunting journey,” Alana says. “We’re committed to SARRC, so they can assist more families with early diagnosis and intervention programs, as well as expand their services for teens and adults with autism.”

Alana works as a director of government relations for an Australian-based green technology, energy and metals company, and James works as a strategic commodity buyer for a major materials and services subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company.

Outside of work, the Langdons enjoy traveling, undertaking home improvement projects, experiencing wine and culinary tastings, and spending quality time together as a family—camping, hiking, swimming, barbecuing, and watching movies in the backyard. They also support other nonprofit organizations through their philanthropic efforts.

Additionally, Alana dedicates her time as a board member of the Mesa Regional Foundation for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She spearheads programs promoting accessibility, including a summer camp that provides neurodivergent youth a pathway to professional development and social growth through game design.
