Elana and Chadwick Campbell’s connection to SARRC began in 2016, just one month after their son, Euan, was diagnosed with autism. Following Euan’s diagnosis, the Campbells were determined to find the resources and opportunities that would help their son thrive. Along the way, they discovered organizations like SARRC that provided their family with not only valuable resources, but also knowledge, encouragement and support as they navigated the years ahead.
Euan enrolled in SARRC’s AIM ABA program, an individualized home- and community-based intervention, in January 2017. From that point on, SARRC supported Euan throughout elementary school, providing services that matched his evolving goals and needs. In 2024, Euan graduated from AIM and now attends school without the support of a behavioral therapist.
“The positive impact that SARRC has had on our family is immeasurable,” says Chadwick. “We want more families across Arizona to experience the same.”
That experience inspired the Campbells to become advocates for other families and deepen their involvement with SARRC. Chadwick served three years on SARRC’s Professional Advisory Council before joining its Board of Directors, where he currently serves as chair. Elana co-chaired the 2020 and 2021 SARRC Community Breakfasts, and together they have served as Community Breakfast Table Captains and special ambassadors for the event for nearly a decade. They have also proudly supported, volunteered, and participated in SARRC’s YES Day Walk for Autism since its inception in 2021.
“SARRC is prepared to provide a lifetime of support to Euan and our family. We are prepared to reciprocate,” says Chadwick.
For the Campbells, what began with finding resources for Euan has grown into a decade of volunteer leadership, advocacy and giving back.
Their commitment to the autism community extends beyond SARRC. Chadwick and Elana founded the Phoenix program for ACEing Autism, a national nonprofit that provides tennis clinics for children with autism and led the program for 10 years. Through their work with ACEing Autism and SARRC, they have created opportunities for individuals with autism and their families while helping build greater awareness and support in the community.
Outside of their involvement with SARRC, the Campbells enjoy an active family life. Chadwick is an attorney for a commercial title and escrow company, while Elana is the founder of OPPTEmizer™ Coaching, an executive function coaching program. Euan is a Boy Scout who enjoys camping and mountain biking, while his sisters, Niamh and Zara, are competitive tennis players. As a family, they enjoy traveling and hiking together.
After a decade of involvement with SARRC, the Campbells continue to give back to the organization that became part of their family’s journey. Their story reflects the lasting impact of having access to guidance, support and resources as a family’s needs evolve. Today, they are helping expand that possibility to more individuals with autism and their families across Arizona.
