Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center is pleased to announce the election of Stephanie King to its board of directors.
Stephanie has been with The Charles Schwab Corporation for 17 years where she has held a number of leadership positions. She is currently head of Planning and Advised Consulting where she is responsible for building and delivering wealth management experiences that help drive better outcomes for clients.
That is why when making the decision to join the board of directors, Stephanie was inspired by SARRC’s efforts to expand services and outcomes across communities.
“Autism doesn’t impact an individual. It impacts a community. Education and awareness are essential building blocks that foster safety and belonging for all the lives touched by autism,” Stephanie says.
Stephanie’s involvement with SARRC has evolved over the years—as a client, donor, and most recently a volunteer—her connections have allowed a better understanding of the positive impact SARRC is able to have in the community.
“Over the last several years, I have witnessed SARRC’s positive impact in the community firsthand as a client, donor and volunteer. SARRC’s mission, guiding principles, and achievements reflect the passion and commitment of its leadership team. It’s hard not to want to work alongside people who want to change the world for the better,” says Stephanie.
SARRC’s Board of Directors is an integral part of the organization’s overall success and is comprised of community and business leaders who are deeply engaged in supporting individuals with autism and their families, as well as driving growth for the organization.
