Gary Jaburg is a builder, a counselor, and an advocate. It is a skill set that has served him well as the founder and Managing Partner of a Phoenix law firm and an advocate of numerous community organizations.
The Builder: Gary has been a Phoenix resident for almost 40 years. In that time, he has built a distinguished career as an attorney and created one of Phoenix’s most prestigious law firms. As the founder and Managing Partner of JaburgWilk, Gary has been instrumental in growing the firm from two attorneys to more than 35 attorneys and 70 employees.
The Counselor: As an attorney and a businessman, Gary understands and solves legal and business issues and brings this expertise to his work with SARRC. He has the unusual perspective of being able to combine the facts with the law, while also assessing the emotions/human aspects of business issues to develop “winning” strategies.
The Advocate: The expertise and energy that Gary brings to the SARRC Board of Directors is invaluable in helping SARRC stay focused on the important aspects of its mission.
Gary learned about SARRC through his friendship with Co-founder Denise Resnik. He has now been active with the organization for years and been a Board member for the last eight years and serves on the Executive and Finance committees. It is the incredible work that SARRC does in changing the lives of its clients and their families that drew Gary to SARRC and has kept him involved and active.
“I am motivated by the great work that SARRC does for the families in the community,” said Gary. “I was also motivated by SARRC’s President & CEO, Dr. Daniel Openden. He is a star!”
In addition to his work for SARRC, Gary is very active in the Jewish community. He served as a Board Member of the Jewish Community Association and was the former Chairman of the Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center. He also served on the Board of the Scottsdale Leadership Workshop Foundation and Feeding Matters.
In addition to being a builder, a counselor, and an advocate, Gary is a giver. It is through his Legacy gift that he feels he can make the greatest impact.
“I hope that through my gift, we can increase the quality and quantity of the populations we serve,” said Gary.
