Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center’s Learn4Independence® program is a 32-course curriculum designed for individuals with autism ages 18+.
Over two years, Learn4Independence covers 32 courses focusing on a diverse range of topics starting with basic information and building to more advanced concepts to support employment and independent living.
2025 Enrollment Information
- Enrollment opens on Monday, February 3
- Classes start Monday, August 18
To be eligible, students must be at least 18 years old, have a diagnosed autism spectrum condition, and be able to arrange transportation to and from classes at GateWay CC.

Location and Schedule
All classes are located at GateWay Community College-Washington Campus (108 N 40th St, Phoenix, AZ 85034). Classes follow the Gateway CC academic calendar and are held Monday-Thursday for two hours daily.
