Megan Selvey: Megan is an attorney licensed in Arizona and California. Megan’s legal practice includes estate planning, special needs planning, long-term care planning, guardianships, and conservatorships. She regularly advises clients on matters related to protecting wealth and providing for loved ones with special needs, as well as clients receiving or anticipating receiving public benefits.
Megan graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University. She then attended the University of San Diego’s School of Law in California. Megan loved San Diego but chose to return to her hometown of Phoenix, Arizona to practice elder law near her friends and family. Megan is a third-generation Phoenix native and has strong ties to the Phoenix community.
Megan volunteers with several nonprofit organizations. She is a member of the Professional Advisory Committee SARRC. She is a member of the Planned Giving Professional Advisory Council for ValleyLife, a non-profit organization serving individuals with disabilities to enhance their quality of life. Megan also supports and volunteers with other incredible organizations that provide valuable services to the special needs community in Arizona.
Karen Starbowski: Karen has been practicing since 2007 and has been a Financial Planner with MassMutual Arizona since 2010. Providing financial advice has become Karen’s passion because she enjoys helping people and their families.
Karen has completed her SpecialCare Planning designation, ChSNC through The American College. This allows her to use her financial planning passion to assist families who have loved ones with special needs. Her mission is to help make a positive difference in the lives of individuals with special needs, their caregivers and other family members. Karen has developed a unique network of professionals within the Special Needs community. This network includes residing on the board of the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix and the Planned Giving Advisory Council at SARRC.
