SARRC Welcomes New CFO, Andrea Levy

SARRC is pleased to announce that Andrea Levy has joined the organization as its CFO.

Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (SARRC) is pleased to announce that Andrea Levy has joined the organization as its CFO. Levy will oversee the financial leadership and management of SARRC, including the planning and directing of accounting, financial controls, budgets, treasury and financial reporting.

Levy comes to SARRC with a wealth of experience. Most recently, Levy was the Vice President of Finance and Administration for Planned Parenthood Arizona—a role which ignited her passion for not-for-profit work.

“We selected Andrea because she possesses SARRC’s core values and has ‘hands on’ abilities with attention to details and deadlines; a forward-thinking mindset; and a record of solid leadership and management capabilities,” says SARRC’s President and CEO Daniel Openden, Ph.D., BCBA-D.

“The role of CFO at SARRC provides an opportunity as a thought-partner and forward-thinking leader in support of those individuals impacted by autism,” Levy says. “I look forward to combining my passion of finance with SARRC’s essential community resources. Notably, helping Arizona families access the important individualized programs, services and research while enhancing SARRC’s fiscal sustainability in exponential terms. As Margaret Mead says: ‘“I must admit I measure success in terms of the contributions an individual makes to his or her fellow human beings.’”

Levy holds a BS in accounting from New Mexico State University and an MBA with a concentration in information technology from the University of Massachusetts. She is also a certified public accountant (CPA), chartered global management accountant (CGMA), certified fraud examiner (CFE), and a six sigma greenbelt.

When she’s not working, Levy enjoys spending time outdoors, especially to run and hike; live music, particularly jazz; and dabbles in art.

Levy began with the SARRC team on Monday, Aug. 20.
