Free Autism Programs Available to Eligible Arizona Families

Thanks to the Gila River Indian Community, we are offering full scholarship opportunities (up to $2,250) for some of our most popular parent training programs! This opportunity is offered to parents and caregivers with a child (up to 12 years old) who has been diagnosed with autism and lives in remote or rural areas of Arizona.

Eligible Arizona Counties:

Counties and areas include Apache, Cochise, Coconino, Gila, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Mohave, Navajo, Pinal, Santa Cruz, Yavapai, and Yuma counties. Some cities and towns with low population density in Maricopa County will qualify (call our team to learn more).

Scholarships are available now and SARRC is offering both in-person and telehealth program models.

Programs Include:

JumpStart: SARRC’s six-week JumpStart program helps families who are new to autism by providing important information, support and strategies for children 18 months-7 years. More importantly, JumpStart connects you with a licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst® for coaching sessions that are customized to you, your child and your family.

One-Week or 12-Week Parent Training: Our parent training offers two options: a 1-week and 12-week model. Together, parents and their coach will collaborate to identify individualized and meaningful goals. Parents will walk away with strategies that will benefit their child and family. Through coaching and hands-on practice, coaches will come alongside parents to target their child’s language, social, play, and adaptive skills in everyday routines and interactions.

Second Gear provides parents with access to a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) coach. Coaches will introduce concepts and strategies so that parents and caregivers feel supported and can apply these individualized techniques that meet children and families where they are in their journey.
