The Grandparents Group will be meeting on Friday, November 17 at 10:00 a.m. at SARRC's Sybil B. Harrington Campus for Exceptional Children. This meeting begins the 2017/2018 Grandparents Group calendar. Speaker will be announced shortly.
The Grandparents Group offers grandparents a place to grow and share in a community of support. Grandparents are empowered to learn about the latest autism research, collect vital information, tips and strategies that will help their entire family on their journey with autism.
This month's speakers include SARRC Co-Founder, Denise Resnik and Dr. Paige Raetz, SARRC's Residential Transition Academy Director. They will be presenting on young adults with autism, featuring the First Place Transition Academy operated by SARRC and First Place AZ. This meeting will be filled with life experiences about adults with autism. We hope to see you there!
New Grandparents orientation:
A special orientation of the Grandparents Group for new grandparents are held before each meeting from 9:00-10:00 a.m. The group will then join the regular meeting at 10:00 a.m. This orientation meeting will help answer questions about autism and share information about SARRC which also includes a tour of SARRC's Sybil B. Harrington Campus for Exceptional Children.
