Second Gear

Serving Ages 4-10

Second Gear is an 8-week parent training program that provides information, consultation and coaching to parents of children with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Second Gear will provide parents with access to a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) coach. Coaches will introduce concepts and strategies so that parents and caregivers feel supported and can apply these individualized techniques that meet children and families where they are in their journey. Second Gear includes a blend of parent meetings (between a SARRC coach and parent) as well as parent coaching sessions (between the SARRC coach, parent, and child). Second Gear will offer both morning and afternoon sessions, which are scheduled based on the availability of the family and clinician.
